Our Antique "Fiorato" beads are hand-produced in the exact manner in which they were first made during the Italian Renaissance in Venice. A Ventian glass artisan makes each bead by hand and then skillfully decorates it with six layers of hand applique glass; three iridescent layers of "Adventurina" (Gold and Copper dust imbedded in glass) and three further decorative layers of delicate colored glass roses and flowers.
