Our colorful Venetian glass murrines are completely handmade by glass artisans in the famous Italian glass center of Murano, an island of Venice, Italy. Every murrine is like a beautiful little stained glass window. Each is produced by arranging mille fiori glass cane bits within a little copper fettling band and melting them together in the furnace to form one flat disk-like bead. Each piece is cooled and then meticulously hand-polished to create a perfect little piece of Venetian glass art. We offer our murrines in ten distinct shapes and 28 different colr/styles; they make beautiful earrings,pendants, brooches or cabochons for mounting, and further, they make wonderful detail insets for stain glass window designs.
